Recovering a Recording After Power Loss

In some instances, a tablet may lose power while a recording is still running (for example, if the recording was left active after the sensor was removed from the child). Upon recharging and restarting the device, you may see the "Let's continue with your child" screen instead of your active recording.

If this happens, follow these steps to recover and sync your data:


1. Resume the Session

To return to the recording interface and locate your data:

  • Scan the same QR Code that was used to start the original session (this links the tablet and sensor back to the specific participant).

  • Once scanned, the tablet should automatically navigate back to the recording screen.


2. Verify Data Upload (Cloud Icon)

Once you are back on the main screen, check the Cloud Icon to confirm the status of your recording:

  • Checkmark: The previous recording has been successfully uploaded to the Cloud.

  • Red "1" Notification: The recording is stored locally on the tablet but has not been sent. Tap the icon and follow the on-screen instructions to manually upload the data to the Cloud.


3. Data Not Found?

If you do not see a confirmation or a pending upload after following these steps, the recording may not have been finalized correctly due to the power failure.

In this case, please submit a support ticket including the following details:

  • The Serial Number of the sensor used.

  • The exact date and time (start and end) of the recording.

  • The app version ("?" icon then "Troubleshooting")

  • Our technical team will then verify if the data is present on our servers.


4. App Update (v2.0.3)

To further prevent session recovery issues and improve system stability, an optional update is now available.

  • Version Upgrade: You can update your app from v2.0.1 to v2.0.3.

  • Purpose: This update is specifically designed to improve data persistence and fix synchronization errors caused by sudden power loss.

  • Feedback: While this update is not mandatory, we highly recommend it. We are actively collecting feedback on this version to ensure the issue is fully resolved. Please let us know if you encounter any difficulties after updating so we can continue to refine the experience.


Important: Do not click on "Reset the app" before receiving confirmation or denial of the data's presence in the cloud. This action deletes all data from the tablet.
