If you are experiencing difficulties connecting your Gabi tablet to the internet, please follow the technical guidance below.
Understanding the 2.4GHz Connection
The Gabi tablet utilizes 2.4GHz Wi-Fi technology, which is designed for lower power consumption and long-range stability. Most modern routers broadcast both 2.4GHz and 5GHz signals under a single network name (SSID). Occasionally, this "Smart Steering" prevents the tablet from identifying the correct frequency.
Recommended Solutions:
Split your Wi-Fi bands: If possible, access your router settings to give the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands different names.
Use a Guest Network: Guest networks are often restricted to 2.4GHz by default and provide a more compatible connection for the tablet.
Mobile Hotspot: If your local network is incompatible, using a smartphone’s data connection (hotspot) is a reliable alternative frequently used by our centers.
Verifying Connectivity Status
Before contacting support, please check the internal diagnostic tool on your tablet:
Tap the "?" icon on the main screen.
Select "Troubleshooting".
Under the "Connectivity" section, ensure that both "Internet" and "Wi-Fi" have green checkmarks next to them.
Hardware Longevity & Warranty
We stand behind the quality of our products and provide a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.
While the Gabi tablet is built for durability, its estimated operational lifespan is approximately three years. Beyond this period, internal components may experience natural wear and tear, which can impact performance or connectivity. If your device is older than three years and the steps above do not resolve the issue, it may indicate that the hardware has reached the end of its functional life.
