I can't do the Bluetooth pairing between sensor and tablet

If you are having trouble pairing your Gabi sensor with the tablet, please follow this diagnostic guide to determine the cause and find a resolution.

Diagnostic: Checking Sensor Status

First, observe the LED indicator on your sensor to identify its current state:

  • White LED: The sensor is powered on and functioning.

  • Purple LED: The battery is low. Please charge the sensor before attempting to pair.

  • Red LED (or no light): If the sensor fails to light up when powered or show a red status, the unit is defective.

Identifying the Source of the Issue

Bluetooth connectivity issues can stem from either the tablet or the sensor. To isolate the problem, we recommend the "Cross-Test" method:

  1. Attempt to pair the sensor with a different Gabi tablet.

  2. Attempt to pair the tablet with a different Gabi sensor.

  • If a specific device consistently fails to connect regardless of the pairing partner, that specific unit has likely encountered a hardware failure.

Hardware Longevity & Wear

Both the Gabi tablet and sensor are covered by a one-year warranty and have an estimated functional lifespan of three years.

As these devices are used frequently in a professional environment, internal Bluetooth communication components can undergo natural wear and tear. If your equipment is approaching or has exceeded the three-year mark, connectivity issues may be a sign of hardware exhaustion rather than a software bug.

Verifying Connection on Screen

As with internet issues, you can verify the hardware status directly on the tablet:

  1. Tap the "?" icon followed by "Troubleshooting".

  2. Navigate to the "Band S/N" section.

  3. Check for the status.
